The Aces Postal offers all junior and adult air rifle and air pistol shooters a program designed to encourage participation in the sport and test marksmanship skills nationally against their peers.  The programs also includes para shooters of both disciplines.
The postal can be shot on either electronic targets or Orion paper targets.  Orion targets must be requested from the CMP and will be mailed to participants.  All Orion targets must be returned for scoring at the CMP. Graphic scorecards from electronic targets may be faxed or emailed to the CMP.

The JROTC Service Championships are an annual series of matches for Army, Marine Corps, Navy, and Air Force JROTC.  Participation is by invitation only, based on the results of the 2024-2025 JROTC Postal Competition. Additionally, the JROTC Service Championships serve as the qualifying competition for the 2025 National JROTC Air Rifle Championship.

The dates and locations of the four regional service championships are as follows:

The US Army Small Arms Championship (All Army) is an advanced combat live-fire training event. Training and skill exercises are applicable to all military small arms firing disciplines.

This event is only open to Active Army, Army Reseves, US Army or Air National Guard, Military Academy, College ROTC Cadets and OCS Candidates.  Civilians and military personnel from other services are prohibited from participating in any event.

All competitors must register as an individual for this event.  Please ensure that you fill out all of the information on the registration form.

USAMU will not be providing weapons or equipment to competitors.  This is the responsibility of the unit sending the Soldier to the event.

Match Program can be found in the upper right corner.  We have made changes to the match program.  Please ensure that you download the match program.

The CMP Talladega Spring Classic will begin Tuesday, 18 March, and conclude Sunday 23 March, at the CMP’s Talladega Marksmanship Park. The event schedule has been designed to appeal to rifle and pistol enthusiasts alike in order to provide a variety of marksmanship opportunities to competitors from around the country.  Events include Rifle Marksmanship 101/M16 Match, Pistol Marksmanship 101/M9 Match, CMP Match Pistol 2700, CMP 80 Shot Matches, Garand/Springfield/Vintage/Modern Military Matches, CMP EIC Service Rifle Match and more!!!

Competitors that REGISTER & PAY by February 26 will receive the Talladega Spring Classic T-Shirt.  Competitors that register and/or pay after February 26 may purchase the Talladega Spring Classic T-Shirt at the event for $20.00 (plus tax).

Competitor Reception & Awards:  The CMP will have a reception and award ceremony for CMP Competitors and Guests.  It will be held on Saturday March 22 beginning at 4PM.   The cost is $10.00 per person.  Tickets maybe purchsed online or at the event.

The Talladega Spring Classic Rifle & Pistol Matches is governed by the current CMP Competition Rules.  Copies of the rules may be downloaded from the Civilian Marksmanship Program website at http://thecmp.org/competitions/cmp-competitions-rulebooks/.   

*All competitors and competition officials, including Scorers or Verifiers, are required to wear eye and hearing protection when on shooting range firing lines during firing.  This will be enforced by CMP Range Officers.

The Gary Anderson CMP Competition Center

The CMP Eastern Games will begin with four days of Garand/Springfield/Vintage & Modern Military Matches, a Carbine Match, a Rimfire Sporter Match and a Vintage Sniper Match.  There will also be a total of five individual Pistol Matches to the schedule including; the CMP .22 Rimfire Pistol EIC Match, EIC Service Pistol Match, the EIC Service Revolver Match, Military & Police Pistol Match and As-Issued 1911 Pistol Match.  Competitors will also be able to fire in the CMP Match Pistol 2700. The CMP HP Matches include the Mid-Range 3X600, four 20 Shot 1000 yard Long Range Match, three days of CMP 800 Aggregate Matches, a 4-Man Team Match and a CMP Service Rifle EIC Match.

The CMP will also be bringing back the electronic targets for the CMP Eastern Games.  The CMP 80 Shot Matches, Mid-Range 3X600 Match, 1000 yard Long Range Test Matches, EIC Service Rifle Match, Garand/Springfield/Vintage/Modern Military Matches and Carbine Match will all be fired on electronic targets.

An annual event since 1979, the Bianchi Cup is comprised of four events, including:

The Practical Event: where competitors fire at distances from 10 yards to 50 yards under varying time limits from the shooting line. 

The Barricade Event: where competitors fire at targets on either side of the barricade at different distances and under varying time limits from within shooting boxes and behind barricades.

The Falling Plate Event: where competitors fire at eight-inch round steel plates arranged in banks of six at distances from 10 to 25 yards under varying time limits.

The Moving Target Event: where competitors fire from within shooting boxes at distances ranging from 10 to 25 yards at a target moving from left to right, with the target exposed for six seconds. 

Competitors shoot from both standing and prone positions and are also required to shoot with both strong and weak hands at various stages. There are no makeup shots in the Bianchi Cup, adding to the difficulty of the event.

Celebrate History at the Talladega D-Day Matches!

The Civilian Marksmanship Program would like to invite you to join us for a very special match weekend event at the CMP Talladega Marksmanship Park in Talladega County, Alabama. The matches will include a Garand Match, Springfield Match and a Vintage Military Match commemorating the 81st anniversary of the Allied Forces D-Day landing at Normandy Beach.  We will also have a Garand Iron Match EIC Rifle Match, Roosevelt Commemorative Match, Benchrest Garand Match and the Carbine Match.  We will also have the popular Vintage Sniper Team Match where competitors may compete in the match twice in two different classes.  An As-Issued 1911 Pistol Match and Military & Police Pistol Match will also take place on both Friday & Saturday.  The popular M1 Maintenance Clinic and a GSM New Shooter Clinic with live fire will also be available.   

*Competitors that register & pay by May 15 will receive the commemorative D-Day Anniversary Match T-Shirt.  Competitors that register or pay after May 15 may purchase the D-Day T-Shirt at the event for $20.00 (plus tax).*

The CMP will be holding a As-Issued M1 Garand Match, Springfield, Vintage Military & Modern Military Match on the Electronic Targets at Petrarca Range at Camp Perry, Ohio, June 28, 2025.

Entry Fee:  One GSMM Match $40.00 for Adults and $30.00 for Juniors, Two GSMM Matches $75.00 for Adults and $50.00 for Juniors and Three GSMM Matches $110.00 for Adults and $70.00 for Juniors. 

Firing Starts:  Relay 1 & 2 at 9AM, Relay 3 & 4 at 10:45AM and Relay 5 & 6 at 12:30PM.  Relay 7& 8 will be added if needed.

Rules: This match will be governed by the current CMP Games Rifle & Pistol Competition Rules.

Rifles:  This event will be opened to competitors firing an As-Issued M1 Garand, Springfield, Vintage Military or Modern Military Rifle per current CMP Games Competitions Rules.

Course of Fire:  The course of fire is As-Issued Military Course A (30 Shot).  Competitors will be firing on Electronic Targets.

Awards:  CMP Achievement Pins will be awarded.

Squadding

The Camp Perry National Match Warm-Up will begin Friday, 27 June 2025, and conclude Sunday 29 June 2025. The event schedule has been designed to appeal to all Highpower rifle enthusiasts alike in order to provide a variety of marksmanship opportunities to competitors from around the country. 

Competitors will be firing on Kongsberg Electronic Targets (KTS). The KTS system registers each shot and relays the location and score value to a monitor beside each shooter on the firing line.  Electronic Target Scoring Rules are available in the current edition of the CMP HP Rifle Competition Rulebook.

The Ohio Rifle & Pistol Association will be issuing awards for the ORPA State Championship Match (800 Aggregate Saturday Only) and the Ohio Governor's Match (EIC Service Rifle Match).

CMP will also have awards.

The CMP will be at the Ben Avery Shooting Facility from October 16-23 for the CMP Western Games!  

The schedule will feature Rifle Marksmanship 101/M16 Match, Garand/Springfield/Vintage & Modern Military Matches, Rimfire Sporter Match, a Carbine Match and a Vintage Sniper Match. The event will also include 2-Man Team Match, 3X600 Mid-Range Match, Long Range Matches, three days of CMP 800 Aggregate Matches and a CMP Service Rifle EIC Match.   Pistol events will include the Pistol Marksmanship 101/M9 Match, CMP Match Pistol 2700, EIC Service Pistol, EIC Service Revolver, .22 Rimfire Pistol, Military & Police Service Pistol & As-Issued Military & Police Pistol Match. 

The CMP will also be bringing back the electronic targets for the Western Games.
